Oral History Project

During 2024 , Kirkcolm Community Hub’s history project , started an oral history project to capture the living memories of Kirkcolm. This project consisted of organised group sessions, one to one recordings either in The Hub or at the subject’s home.
The objective is to gather as many people’s stories as possible from villagers, parishioners and those with links to Kirkcolm, as well as those who served at RAF Wig Bay, RAF Corsewall, RAF North Cairn, etc.
The recording equipment is held in the hub , so if you would like your stories and memories recorded for history, please drop into or contact The Hub.
